How can I lose 10lbs in a month for a special event compared to how do I lose 10lbs for better health.

If you need to drop the weight fast because you have a special event coming up then fasting (Intermittent and extended) and low carbs, high good fat, moderate protein is the best go to plan.

If you want better health, and less pain and inflammation then fasting (Intermittent and extended) and low carbs, high good fat, moderate protein,  is the best go to plan.

What? Wait these are the same lifestyles!!!

Yes, I know.

I found a way to do both with the same formate.

Let me explain.

3,500 calories = 1 pound of fat

So you need to eliminate about 3,500 calories from your diet to lose 1 pound.

If you cut about 500 calories a day from the diet, you’d lose about 1 pound of fat a week.

Now here is the Magic!!!

Water weight is 15.34 oz per lb.

1 Pound = 15.34 oz of Water!!

No, don’t stop drinking water to lose weight drink more water (100 oz with Himalayan salt), and eat fewer carbohydrates. (I wrote a blog on just what happens with the extra unused energy you get from carbohydrates.)

For me Increased inflammation and all over body pain.

Why drink so much water?

That is a whole other blog post but for this topic, but it helps to gets rid of all the toxins in your body.

What are the Macronutrients on High Fat Moderate Protein Low Carbohydrate Diet

Helping you learn so you can apply for the rest of your life.

fat 9 calories per gram

Protein 4 calories per gram

Carbohydrates 4 calories per gram

First, you need to find your just how many calories you need to aim for.

It is easy, just go here and get your BMR(Basel Metabolic Rate) .

Now you have your # it is time to do some math.

Fat you want between 50%-60%

Protein you want between 25%-30%

Carbohydrates you want between 20%- 25%

So here are my numbers.

1344. x 0.50=672 calories from fat 672/9= 72 grams of Good Fat

1344 x 0.20 = 269 calories from good carbs 269/4 = 67 grams of Carb

1344 x 0.30 = 403 calories from protein 403/4= 101 grams of Protein

I use the app Fat Secret put in my percentages and it tells me the exact # of each when I input my food and drink. This helps me to stay on track.

I hope this helps take the guesswork out of it.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup ice
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 scoop Vanilla Plant-Based Vegan Shakeology
  • 2 tsp. maple syrup
  • 1 tsp. finely grated lime peel (lime zest)

Mocha Caramel Latte             227 calories

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened chocolate almond milk
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 scoop Café Latte Plant-Based Vegan Shakeology
  • 1 tsp. pure caramel extract

Cookies and Cream                  255 calories

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 scoop Vanilla Plant-Based Vegan Shakeology
  • 4 chocolate graham crackers, 1 cracker sheet, broken into large pieces

Instructions

  1. Place almond milk, ice, and Shakeology in a blender; cover. Blend until smooth.
  2. Add crackers; cover. Blend until just mixed.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sparkling water, divided use
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 scoop Tropical Strawberry Plant-Based Vegan Shakeology
  • 3 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp. finely grated lime peel
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh mint leaves
  • Fresh mint sprig for garnish; optional
  • Strawberry slice for garnish; optional

Instructions

  1. Place ½ cup water, ice, Shakeology, lime juice, lime peel, and mint in blender; cover. Blend until smooth. Pour into serving glass.
  2. Add remaining ½ cup water; mix well

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract

  • 1 scoop Vanilla Shakeology
  • ¾ cup reduced-fat (2%) Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup fresh (or frozen) blackberries
  • 2 fresh basil leaves

Peanut Butter Cookie                   287 calories

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 scoop Vanilla Shakeology
  • 1 Tbsp. all-natural peanut butter
  • 1 pinch sea salt (or Himalayan salt)
  • 1 Tbsp. graham cracker crumbs (reserve a small amount for garnish)

 I personally do one scoop PB2 powder instead of peanut butter and no graham cracker

Strawberry Peanut Butter Cheesecake– Strawberry Shakeology + ¼ cup fat-free ricotta cheese + ¼ cup plain nonfat yogurt + 2 Tbsp. peanut butter + ½ cup skim (nonfat) milk + ¼ cup water + Ice

Strawberry Mousse – Strawberry Shakeology + 2 egg whites, whipped + ¼ cup strawberries + ½ cup water + ice

Peanut Butter Cups – 2 scoops Chocolate Shakeology + 1/4 cup dark chocolate morsels + 1 tbsp. psyllium husk powder + 1/2 cup pumpkin puree + 6 tsp. smooth peanut butter. Line a muffin tin with paper liners. Melt chocolate morsels in the microwave until just melted. Combine Shakeology, psyllium husk, pumpkin in a food processor. Divide into balls and press flat unto muffin cup, leaving a depression in the middle. Spoon 1/2 tsp. peanut butter on top. Drizzle melted chocolate to create a thin layer. Freeze 30 minutes.

Cookie Balls– 1 cup Chocolate Shakeology + 1 cup peanut butter + 1 cup quick cook oats + 1/3 cup honey. Combine ingredients. Roll into balls and eat.

Chocolate Pudding – 1 1/2 scoops Chocolate Shakeology + 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin + 3/4 cup boiling water + 2 cups vanilla almond milk (unsweetened). Dissolve gelatin in water. Add almond milk. Place all ingredients in a blender and combine them. Pour into 4 dessert cups and refrigerate 4 hours.

Chocolate Energy Cookie Balls – 1 1/2 scoops Chocolate Shakeology + 1/2 cup almond flour + 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats + 1/4 cup almond butter + 1/3 cup unsweetened almond milk + 1/4 cup sliced almonds. Combine Shakeology, almond flour and oats, mix well. Add almond butter and milk. Roll into balls and then roll into almonds.

Chocolate Ice Cream Recipe – Chocolate Shakeology + 6 ice cubes + 1/2 banana + 1 1/2 cups of almond or coconut milk  + 1 tablespoon of peanut butter or almond butter (I used PB2). Mix in blender, pour into a bowl and freeze for 2 hours.

Frozen Chocolate Shakeology Bark – 5 tbsp. coconut oil, melted + 5 tbsp. Chocolate Shakeology, stirred until blended. Pour into tinfoil-lined pan and freeze until hard. Store in refrigerator.

21 Day Fix Pumpkin Muffins – 2 eggs + ¼ cup canned pumpkin puree + 1 large banana + ½ cup natural peanut butter + ¼ cup honey + 2 scoops Vanilla or Chocolate Shakeology + ½ teaspoon baking powder + ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice + ¼ teaspoon sea salt.

In a blender, mix eggs, pumpkin, banana, peanut butter and honey for 30 seconds. Add Shakeology, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice and sea salt and blend until smooth.

Divide the batter evenly in a lined muffin pan – add five dark chocolate chips to each muffin to change it up if you want – and bake at 350 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. (Two muffins count as ½ red and 1/3 purple 21 Day Fix containers. Recipe from the kitchen of Autumn Calabrese.)

Pumpkin Protein Pancakes – 1 scoop of Vanilla Shakeology + ½ cup pure canned pumpkin + 2 egg whites + 1 drop Sweet Drops vanilla sweetener + 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Mix ingredients together and scoop pancake-sized dollops onto a hot griddle, flipping them over when the top begins to bubble.

As you can see there are so many ways you can add Dense nutrients to your diet.

For the first time in 10 years, we(my husband and myself) flew on a plane from Austin to Virginia. We had a layover in Chicago where we had to walk from one end of the airport to the next. We almost missed the flight, it was so far for me. The noise, the people, all the different smells and the air pressure on the plane all affected me in a negative way. Once we landed and got the rental car we had an hour’s drive to the hotel. I could feel the crash coming. We went shopping to get food for the hotel, 2 gallons of water, avocados deli turkey, and then we got kale salad, and rotisserie chicken for dinner because I just could not go out to eat. My skin started to hurt, with no energy and weak. When I woke up the next morning the same thing. I had to go back to bed after only being up for 2 hours.

THIS IS NOT HOW I PLANNED MY 20 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TRIP TO BE.
