Simple Mind Trick
Did you know that you can use a simple mind trick to turn your anxiety into excitement?
This mind trick is so simple it is hard to believe it could work.
But you have to learn the trick and then apply the trick each time you start to feel anxious thoughts flooding in.
It really is easy to catch anxious thoughts if you know some of the physical symptoms that go hand in hand with anxiety.
Here are a few of those physical symptoms: Sweaty palms, Racing heart, and maybe even butterflies in the stomach.
Mind Trick for Anxiety
The first thing you have to do is recognize your self-talk.
Because you believe everything you think.
You think the thought then you feel the emotion. If you are living in the moment you will feel the emotions of the present moment.
Feel the emotion of Right Now.
What is happening Right Now?
Not what might happen in the future.
When you get caught in an emotional loop you are no longer dealing with the emotion of now.
The next step is to figure out what negative self-talk you say to yourself daily.
I created this journal for your journey because you can not fix what you do not know is broken.
Write down your negative and positive thoughts.
How many times during the day do you say negative things about yourself?
Do you say any of these words to yourself: Fat, stupid, lazy, ugly, forgetful, unworthy, no good, dirty, clumsy, worthless?
The most effective way to deal with negative self-talk is to counter it with positive supportive statements.
Changing from negative self-talk to positive is the next step but you have to do it.
The secret tip to make the new idea into a habit/behavior is to do it daily for 63 days.
Why 63 days? Because you don’t just want to know it, you want it to become a habit.
Each day I want you to write down all your negative self-talk and then write a counter/positive self-talk next to it.
Changing the negative to a positive is as simple as a thought and a word.
Now if you have some negative self-talk that’s just not that easy to switch over find a positive statement to say I want you to ask yourself these questions for those beliefs.
What is the evidence for this?
Is this always true?
Has this been true in the past?
What are the odds of this really happening or truly being real?
Are you looking at the whole picture?
What is the very worst possible thing that could happen?
How bad can it really be?
What would you do if the worst did happen?
So Here is the Simple Mind Trick.
This trick is going to lie to your mind so that you can get the results that you want.
What you’re going to do is when you feel the physiological symptoms like sweaty palms, or a racing heart you are going to start telling yourself, “I am feeling excited.”
“This excites me”.
“This is causing me excitement.”
I want you to understand that the same exact physiological symptoms that happen in your body when you’re excited are the same as when you are anxious. The palms sweat, the heart rate goes up, and you feel butterflies in your stomach.
So switch the word to excitement.
“I’m excited to do this.”
This makes me excited and as you lie to your mind about the situation you’re going to notice that your emotions and your mood will go in alignment with this excitement.
You’ll start to feel happier, and even peace can fall over you when you change from anxiety to excitement
Do this practice daily for the next 63 days.
If you want to make these changes faster then schedule an appointment with me to have an RTT session.
In less than two hours you will find the root cause for the anxious self-talk and you will deal with the hurter/parent/teacher and release yourself from the past program.
Your mind is the record of the past.
It is recording all the time. That is why you can even learn while you sleep because your mind/recorder is always on.
When you find the part of the recording that is no longer serving you, all you have to do is find the original recording and delete it and record over it your new recording.
A new recording of what you want. One that will move you in the direction you say you want to go.
Remember you can turn anxiety into excitement with the simple mind trick of turning the word Anxiety into Excitement.
Remember, what you want matters and Everything is available for you.
